Good Karma University- Training about all things Rescue

Good Karma University is our commitment to training our volunteers so they can be knowledgeable about dogs and rescue.

We are fortunate that our volunteers come with a wide variety of experience that we can also learn from each other.  We have several ways we share information and advice in informal ways, however, we believe it is important to learn in formal ways as well.  This is where Good Karma University comes in.  Free classes for all volunteers on all kinds of cool topics ranging from obedience training to Pet CPR and First Aid.

In the past, we have held classes at various locations since we did not have our "own space".  We have also done online live classes for our volunteers in the past couple months.  We are so excited that we now have our own administrative space that we can hold new classes at.  We are looking to holding these classes "live" online as well as soon as construction is done.

Last night we held our first GK University class in our new (still under construction) space.  The topic was Transports and being a Transport Driver.  Good Karma strongly believes in being part of the whole rescue process which includes transporting the dogs.  We transport our own dogs as much as we are able to.  Attendees learned about what happens on transports, safety concerns and our transport processes.  Those who have already been on transports talked about the amazing experiences they have had being part of the transport team.  To go and see the dogs where they are at and to bring them back into rescue is an amazing experience.  Attendees are excited to be a part of their own transports in the future!

Gifts for attending!

Good Karma University is just one way we support our volunteers in rescue.
